During this time of uncertainty, there’s nothing like a community coming together to rally around one another – even if it is from a distance. Quarantine has most people on edge, but we want you to know that we are still here for you. Our office is closed to walk-ins to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff, but as an essential business, a couple of employees are still at the office to answer the phone, take drop-off payments, enroll new customers, write new business, and handle insurance claims. These team members are practicing social distancing, sanitizing their hands and surface areas frequently, and continually cleaning around the office. The rest of the team is working from home to answer your questions and concerns about your claims as well as enrolling customers and writing new business. Our entire team is working every day. Our founder and owner, Glenn Yeager, along with associate agent, Brett Cross, are in and out of the office as well to take pictures and assess damages to customers’ property due to recent severe storms and company claims adjusters working remotely. They both ensure to keep social distancing standards.
These days, it seems that there is not a lot of good news to report. We wanted to spread some encouragement by first offering what Glenn, along with the Yeager Insurance staff has done and continues to do during this pandemic, and then providing some suggestions on how you can help local small businesses during this pandemic and beyond.
How is Yeager Insurance involved in the community?
Glenn founded Yeager Insurance in 1998 out of a desire to provide his community with an independent friend and neighbor in the insurance industry. Beyond that, Glenn is a proud father of two beautiful girls, the Chairman of the Board of Directors to the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, is on the Putnam County Planning Commission, and has been chosen and enrolled in the FBI Citizens Academy as a liaison between our community and the FBI. Glenn has also received active shooter training and is able to identify possible issues and report them to counterterrorism teams as a result.
As a team, we are passionate about supporting great causes like Backpack Buddies, a non-profit organization that helps feed school-aged children who have limited access, if any, to food while they are not at school, as well as several local 4-H chapters, where kids and teens complete hands-on projects in subjects like health, science, agriculture, and civic engagement.
Where can I go to support these causes?

Small businesses always need the support of the community, but there is no better time than now to show them that you are here for them.
How can I help out small businesses?
Ordering take-out or delivery from your favorite local restaurant, cafe, or bakery, pre-ordering or reserving an appointment with your hairstylist/barber, home improvement company, or other customer service business, shopping for supplies or products online if the business offers such a service, and simply sharing small business’ posts or just offering a word of encouragement can go a long way. These suggestions may sound small, but they mean the world to small business owners and their staff.
How can Yeager Insurance assist me during this time?
While we are a small business ourselves, we want you to know that our priority is to our customers. It’s important to us that you know we are doing everything we can by assisting current customers and helping new ones by remaining open, especially since most insurance agencies are closed at this time. We will continue to support great causes and surrounding small businesses, but we also want you to know that we’re here to make sure that you know that you can count on us. Hopefully, you are able to work from home, but if you are not, there is always a chance that you will need to take advantage of your auto insurance policy. Plus, with weather that brings strong winds and thunderstorms, home damage is not uncommon this time of year, or even the possibility of a fire or water damage could strick your home or business, so it is essential to know if and how you are covered and what we can do to help you; we’re in this together. We’re all home on a fixed income, so we know that savings are paramount.
Pandemics do not stop the unexpected from happening, but one thing that you can always count on is us.
Stay safe, call us if you have any questions or concerns, and know that we will get through this!
